The basket stretcher is an emergency patient-handling device designed to transport patients from hard-to-reach areas to ambulance stretchers or standard stretchers. It provides sufficient space to accommodate blankets and life-support equipment. Multiple versions are available to meet specific user needs.

II. Key Features

• A high-density polyethylene shell supported by a fixed, heavy-duty aluminum frame ensures strength and durability. The shell is resistant to chemicals, UV radiation, rust, and corrosion, providing a long service life.

• Integrated runners and molded handholds allow for easy handling, even on rough or uneven terrain.

• A heat-welded, replaceable foam mattress is secured inside the stretcher for patient comfort.

• A five-section flotation collar is attached to the stretcher to provide buoyancy during water rescue operations.

• Four quick-attach patient restraint straps, 5 feet long, two-piece design, easy to use and allowing rescuers to easily reposition the straps to fit different patients.

• Strategically placed brass grommet holes for quick use with the adjustable Model 418-1 lifting bridle (lifting straps must always be used when hoisting the stretcher).
